CPS - LOCAL BODIES
For processing the accounts of non-provincialised employees of Local Bodies, online provision was made by NIC to enter the complete details of the deduction made from the employees and also the contribution made by the Local Bodies. The
work is being carried out by the respective DDOs of the Local Bodies. After that, the Local Fund Audit Department has to audit their accounts through online itself and forward it to the Government Data Centre for processing.
In the mean time, since there are more discrepancies in the CPS Index Numbers obtained by the Local Bodies for non-provincialised employees, reconciliation was done by this office. Still there are discrepancies due to the confusion of Provincialised and Non-Provincialised employees at the DDO’s level, the online reconciliation of CPS Index Numbers was initiated separately by this office and the work is being carried out by the respective DDOs. The HODs of the above Departments were requested by this office to speed up the CPS Index Number reconciliation work.
